Miss Puerto Rico Wins the 2003 Crest Whitestrips® Miss Photogenic Award
The 2003 Miss Universe hosts, Billy Bush and Daisy Fuentes congratulate Miss Puerto Rico, Carla Tricoli, as she accepts the Crest Whitestrips Miss Photogenic Award.
White smiles reign supreme at the Miss Universe Pageant
Miss Puerto Rico, Carla Tricoli, was announced as the Crest Whitestrips Miss Photogenic winner at the 2003 Miss Universe Pageant in Panama City, Panama, on June 3.
The award was sponsored by the innovative tooth whitener Crest Whitestrips, a beauty secret for millions of women. The pageant aired on NBC and was simulcast on Telemundo, giving approximately 600 million viewers worldwide the opportunity to see why Miss Puerto Rico was so deserving of such an award.
During the 2-hour long program, viewers had the opportunity to vote online for their favorite Miss Photogenic candidate. Miss Puerto Rico maintained the lead throughout the voting process and won because of her gorgeous white smile with 14,706 votes. In addition to the Crest Whitestrips Miss Photogenic title, Miss Puerto Rico was awarded a $1,000 cash prize and a Hoya crystal trophy valued at $3,200.
No matter what language you speak, everyone knows the meaning of a beautiful white smile!
