John, happyslip had not travel to the Philippines as a youngster, made fun of her family's Filipino short commings, and did not know much about the country, so why would she accept the post. I used to laughed at her videos and feel good but not anymore. I think she should resign and any compensation she received, she should give the money to Bantay Bata, Christine...millions of Filipinos are starving and dying from diseases over there, all is not well in that country.

What if she was hired anyway? Do not people sometimes do jobs that are from the heart? A job does not have to be something you hate. You can do a job that you love, and Christine loves to make fun videos, and she loves to promote the Philippines.

happyslip videos are not from her heart. she was 'hired' by the phillipine government or tourist agency to post her videos.
i have been to the phil., beautiful country, beautiful people and corrupt government. and she is corrupt for getting paid to post these videos and not stating that she was paid to do this....(whether it was cash or no cash but free trips, hotels, airline tickets, etc). long live the philippines. short live CORRUPTION. happyslip carry the corrupt tradition happyslip. bad.

That jsut shows if you meet people not face to face but through tv or the internet or through any other visual medium, you make them out to be something special because everything presented to you is edited.
If you knew the person before they were well known then you wouldn't really think of them as such 'celebrities'.
