Shirley Bassey - FOR ALL WE KNOW

Date Added: Monday, March 10, 2008 at 11:22pm

Here is Shirley in another TV Special singing her Top 10 HIT SINGLE, "For All We Know." Shirley originally recorded and released this song on her 1972, "I Capricorn" Album. Besides Shirley, this song was a very BIG HIT for The Carpenters.

I've always loved Shirley's big voice and wonderful songs since I first saw and heard her sing while stationed in England in the mid sixties with the USAF.

Ah OK. Is it that Jimmy Griffen from the group Bread that also had the hit "If (a picture paints a thousand words, ... I would paint you)"? Was the movie "Lovers and other Strangers" any good.

I will check it out; although I just can't believe you on the "better vocal performance" part, lol. That said, perhaps the arrangement and whatnot is better, so I'd love to hear it. I love this arrangement though... Is the Carpenter performance on youtube??

Scot90230. Thanks to you for benjueing. I don't know how old you are, but if You have all videos about Shirley, It looks these are very much. I believe that You are an Enciclopedy. Brittannica Enciclopedy is nothing beside you.

tk1996: Check out Shirley's 1970's Royal Variety Theatre performance of the song. It is also fantastic as you can really hear the treble/strings in that particular performance.

I want to come back in the next life as Shirley's wardrobe. Then I could be as close to her as I could get. Sexy Woman with a tremendous voice. The Best !

I wish there were a video of her doing "Never, Never, Never." But this one is awesome. She just pours it out.

The Living Tree would be a perfect Bond theme. Shirley had lost none of her talent over the years, in fatc she had got better as they years have gone by

Viewing many Bassey videos, I am now convinced that she should return and do the title song for Casino Royale...

After seeing the Living Tree, all I can is the old baseball addage that she "hasn't lost anything off her fastball"
